I had to fight with one of the waitresses to put on an NBA playoff game 7 on one small screen. Came here since Old Montreal was dead at 10pm... ordered some food... trash... got some beers.... alright... got some mixed drinks... juice... waitress had her disgust face the whole night... trash again. After wandering around the famous St Paul street we saw that La cage had a rooftop lounge so we stopped in .We ordered 3 different appetizers, flatbread , 3 fish tacos and potato skins, all were excellent and the service was excellent as well. I think they had watered down the alcohol in the bottles but they were measuring the shots out. We will come back for sure!Last visit with had tremendous service from Anne but the visit before was a nightmare as we had twice to go outside ask the barmaid who was smoking if She could come back in to sell us beer.
There was no customer service. La Cage restaurant chain permanently cuts 30% of staff, closes four locations. Never happened. This location is set in the middle of old town Montreal, so don't go in expecting gourmet French cooking.

But I really don't understand when a business loses interest in their own business and their guest. Service is good. We were sat right away(thumbs up). Great atmosphere and would be perfect to return for dinner and drinks on their second floor terrace.It used to be popular place, not one of my favorites. Waitress said the bartender had miss read the drink order when we sent back because there was obviously no alcohol in the drink provided. I give this 5 stars because it met all our needs: a place to watch the and the USA V Ecuador Copa America match, drinks, and great atmosphere for our first night in Montreal.The food was good, the drinks were good (the sangria in particular was great! I get it, it's Canada, but a real sports bar should cater to all sports. (Make fun of me all you want, but when there's a foot of snow outside you're not venturing far.Fun place to eat during a soccer game!

They have two terrasses, that attracts tourists.Well what can I say... another tourist trap... another crappy place. It's a flip of a coin, you...Friday evening dinner with kids.
