The boat goes to the Eiffel Tower and then turns around and goes to Notre Dame. We were running barely on time and arrived at 8:28 for the 8:30 boat. Just go, it was such an amazing experience! At least my wife and I were able to find it somewhat comical. The speaker for our tour had a very heavy French accent and at times it was hard to understand him. It was a bit cooler and he had on black pants this black and white horizontal striped shirt and a knee length light wool coat.
The tour departure and thereafter the cruise is timed that it arrives next to Eiffel, as the tower starts twinkling / shimmering. We were less than impressed with the meal, service and ambiance. There are plenty of seats on both sides of the boat, so don't worry about that. The boat travels slowly through the river under the bridges, by castles, cathedrals, and historical neighborhoods.Disorganised, wrong information provided - ruined last night of city breakI booked a 1 hour river cruise for the last evening of our trip.
Good cruise, would recommend! For ten euro per person it's a great trip. Enjoy views of Paris’ famous attractions as you glide along the water, passing by the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Musée d’Orsay and Notre-Dame Cathedral. The boat ride lasts a fulfilling amount of time.
When we later returned to our loft and checked online, we found that she had also charged us twice! We got some nice pictures of the Eiffel tower and my feet were happy to sit for a change. The bateaux mouches providing a 1 hour cruise on the Seine, especially the Vedettes du Pont Neuf boat at the Pont Neuf bridge, is a must do. We booked an evening dinner cruise.
Sure, there's always a slight corniness in the execution of a boat cruise, but soaking up the beauty that's Paris on this boat is spectacular.
Soak up Paris from the river on a Seine cruise aboard a Vedettes du Pont Neuf boat, one of the city’s top sightseeing riverboats. And try to get the evening(just before sunset boat). It was cheaper to have a tour between 10:30-12:00 PM and I thought it was a steal. Worth the money.I loved watching my mom's face light up as we rounded the corner of the Seine and saw the Eiffel Tower! 58 reviews of Café du Pont Neuf "Can't speak for the food, but stopped here for some drinks on a cold night at peak of Coronavirus. Choose the tour that starts right before sunset, and get there a little early so you can get a good seat on the upper level of the boat. This was the only evening that we had free so we were forced to go in the day a couple days later. Very informative, priced exceptionally well, and not overly crowded!
It's a different experience than your typical bus tour. Would recommend to anyone visiting Paris for the first time, great way to get your bearings and decide which areas to further explore! This was a great way for us to end our trip. The tour itself was quite lovely and our guide was enthusiastic, pointing out different sites along the way and keeping us entertained with jokes and light banter, although his English was difficult to understand. After boarding last due to making sure we were actually passengers, we were seated and began to look at menus. You can also bring your own wine, and if you book on the website you will save a few dollars! For the meal, you have the option of steak, fish, or chicken. The staff was nice, and I would highly recommend it.Nice cruise, but the guide could not speak English that I could understand, either it was the speakers or her accent...I went on a boat cruise on the river, and it was great. It was breath taking. Make sure you print out your online ticket though; they collect the tickets when you board the boat. The atmosphere on board was fun, everyone was in a good mood and we enjoyed the trip down the river.Always love boating on the Seine.
Oh wait, my entire Italian mafia themed review must be put on hold as the word is "Vedettes", not vendettas.Nice 1 hour boat up and down the Seine. (Another tip was DO NOT do a dinner cruise-the food is overpriced and not very good at all) We took the hour-long Seine river cruise in June at 8pm so the sun was still out but on its way down. Hands down my favorite thing I did while I was in Paris. Hope things pick up… I give this tour company two thumbs up =)I had specifically planned to go on the trip at sunset so that we could get the best of both worlds and hopefully see the Eiffel Tower lit up. Of all the boats available, this one was chosen by my parents, for me to enjoy 16 years ago, it is still as pristine and wonderful today.
