Hiked this with my bestfriend who we are not exactly as fit as we would like to be. On our way down closer to 9am it was packed. We went up this trail 7am on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy going up but very busy going down. Tea house is very nice and kids enjoyed it .The trail was busy as usual and parking is hard to come across early in the morning. Teahouse was pretty cool.Started up at around 7am on a Monday and the trail was already getting busy. The trail is fairly easy and good for kids and dogs.We went counterclockwise, left at 7:15a, and trail traffic was not too bad. Overall a great intermediate hike, would do it again. We did little beehive today and it was a breeze (pun intended cause it was pretty windy up there)! It was a bit hard to get around the slower hikers. Teahouse very busy - bring cash. Once at the tea house, there was already quite a crowd. The Tea House is a real treat while enjoying views of the lake and is open from early June through October. Lots of crowds heading up at the same time so it was harder to pull away for breaks. Now onto the Big Beehive.Went 5 years ago. We did it with 5 and 3.5 years old. Steady incline up to the lakes but totally worth it and fairly easy to do. Had lunch at the top and took in the scenic view. It was gorgeous! If I get Covid it’s because of this hike. One of my favourite hikes by far. Looots of mosquitoes and lots of fresh horse poo as it is also a horse trail. Headed for lake Agnes and carried on to Big Beehive.Great trail and amazing views.
