Ski slopes are just 45 minutes away by car and the Fier gorges and the Chateau de Montrottier are 10 km from the hotel. The view was wonderful - watching the swans and ducks while having breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. On the plus side the hotel is in a good location for access to Lake Annecy and to the old town but not in the most salubrious area. The mountains can be reached by local bus - much easier on the nerves than driving. The shower was spacious and quite powerful. We chose the hotel because of the underground parking and its great location, and were pleasantly surprised. On asking the reception staff about the false advertising I was told that none of their rooms had either of the advertised “extras” and the room in the picture was for advertising. The hotel is within walking distance of the entire town - including the lake and everything which is must see in annecy. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and free wifi. A short stroll from the beautiful Lake a lovely birthday day was spent walking and enjoying everything Anncey has to offer,there are lots of restaurants and the old town has super little cobbled alleyways and shops. The buffet breakfast was impressive and definitely one of the best we have experienced, you can even personally time you own boiled eggs! The continental breakfast was very Breakfast was very good - with plenty of food to cater for everyone. It has had a major recent refurb IMO and the photo's show all those plus points.

We had a room on the 1st floor overlook the lake inlet.

Hairdryer in the bathroom. The bed was comfy and the pillows soft. The hotel is half a block away from the Centre Vieille walking street with all kinds of restaurants, etc. There is no better located hotel in annecy! We have stayed many a time at Ibis hotels and we can say once again that we were satisfied with what was offered.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Public parking is available nearby at a surcharge, depending on availability. It is very good, with large amount of very good fresh fruit.Perfect for an overnight stop to break the journey. Not so great was the welcome and check out, having to change rooms due to the horrible smell - it was not appreciated that the smell was awful and I was an inconvience for objecting.
